About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer Access Systems Operator at a logistics and distribution location in Pompano Beach, Florida, you will help safeguard employees, visitors, drivers, vendors, and operations. You will manage entry points, verify access credentials and delivery appointments, monitor activity, maintain access records, control restricted areas, and support a secure environment. A visible presence, professional communication, and customer-focused approach help deter security-related incidents. The role may also involve responding to emergencies and conducting patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter. The listed pay rate is $16.00 per hour. The schedule is 11:00 PM–7:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points and verify credentials and/or delivery appointments.
• Maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records in accordance with site requirements.
• Control access to restricted areas, communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts, and help deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations; document observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter.
