About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Access Operations for an assigned site in Sioux City, Iowa, at a food and beverage production location. The part-time role provides fixed, dependable weekly shifts, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and schedule. The officer may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed pay rate is $18.91 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Friday and Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. Duties include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, keeping accurate records, responding to concerns and incidents, and conducting patrols of designated areas.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate access-related logs and documentation.
• Control access for employees, contractors, vendors, and delivery personnel, including following procedures for restricted areas.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other designated areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
