As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, and support a welcoming, professional environment. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, use computer or tablet systems, and help deter incidents through attentive access monitoring. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue and collect visitor badges, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
  • Control vehicle, employee, contractor, and visitor access in accordance with established site requirements, escalating access concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access areas, facility grounds, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
