Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a residential location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support a welcoming environment for residents and guests. This role includes maintaining a visible presence, observing activity, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor logs and other access-related records.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Communicate clearly with residents, property management, and/or emergency services regarding security-related concerns, policy questions, and post activity.
