About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Access Control in Milford, Delaware, at a food and beverage production location. The officer will monitor facility entry points, verify access credentials, support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, clear communication, and professional customer service. The schedule is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.25 per hour.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Successful background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Drug screening, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate locations.
Screen incoming and outgoing traffic, including deliveries and vendor access, according to established facility procedures.
Respond calmly to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when applicable.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, perimeter points, and other assigned areas to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
