Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and help control access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns.
  • Prepare accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and policy violations according to site procedures.
