As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage visitor, employee, and vehicle access, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support screening activities. Your visible presence, customer service, and clear communication will help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry and exit of authorized personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site procedures.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and access-control records, and report access discrepancies or suspicious activity to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and emergency response procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
