Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor security-related systems, including access control and alarm equipment, and report irregularities, malfunctioning equipment, and unauthorized access attempts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
