About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Systems Operator in Whitestown, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, greeting visitors, and documenting security-related activity. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and help deter incidents through a visible presence. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying identification, visitor appointments, delivery authorizations, and/or vehicle entry requirements.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, driver, contractor, and vehicle entry records; issue and retrieve access credentials in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating relevant information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
