As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Cranberry Twp, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto Sales, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and media location where you will manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and support security-related operations through routine patrols, visible presence, and outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and document arrivals, departures, and other access-related activity according to site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts and/or first responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to doors, gates, lobbies, and other controlled areas where security-related concerns may arise.
  • Support front entrance and reception functions by assisting with visitor processing, directing foot traffic, and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
