As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Wilmer, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support a professional, welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor check-in processes, and/or security-related policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, maintain visitor and/or contractor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including building interiors, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, as assigned by site procedures.
  • Document observations, access activity, and/or unusual conditions in required reports, and report maintenance, policy, and/or security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
