As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Control access at entry and exit points by verifying credentials, processing visitors, issuing badges, and documenting arrivals, departures, and/or deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Monitor lobbies, access points, loading areas, and other restricted spaces for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or unauthorized entry to help deter disruptions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, noting security-related concerns, access issues, and/or maintenance observations.
