Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and/or vendors at the front desk by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access to the location by greeting entrants, verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes, and documenting arrivals and departures.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency services when appropriate.
  • Answer phones, manage inquiries, and support front desk operations with clear communication and accurate reporting of security-related events.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptions by maintaining awareness of lobby activity, observing camera feeds when assigned, and reporting concerns according to post instructions.
