About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal, you will be the welcoming first point of contact at a professional office location, supporting access control, badge processes, and visitor interactions while helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence and communication. This role is ideal for someone who values teamwork, acts with integrity, and brings a caring, reliable, and customer-focused approach to every shift.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor lobby and front desk activity, manage visitor check-in and access protocols, and communicate with staff regarding arrivals, deliveries, and/or security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations and/or unusual activity according to site procedures.
  • Answer questions, provide directions, and support a professional front desk presence while helping to deter unauthorized access through attentive screening and documentation practices.
