About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Desk in Alpharetta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Officer in a fast-paced tech location, you will help create a welcoming first impression by managing access, monitoring front desk activity, and supporting security-related procedures with professionalism and care. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service, clear communication, and working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity at every interaction.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting employees, visitors, and vendors at the front desk, following site-specific procedures and access protocols for a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor lobby activity, manage visitor check-in and badge processes, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive front desk presence and security-related reporting.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Answer phones, provide directions, and support front desk communications while documenting incidents, visitor activity, and other security-related information accurately.
  • Assist with enforcing site policies for deliveries, guest access, and restricted areas, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors regarding security-related procedures.
