Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support a professional, welcoming experience. Requirements

  • Security-related experience of 6 or more months is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening access at entry and exit points, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor and document visitor, contractor, and employee entry and exit activity in accordance with location policies and access control protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with attention to restricted areas, gates, fencing, and other access points.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by verifying credentials, maintaining accurate logs, and communicating clearly with personnel and guests regarding site requirements.
