As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol Driver in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. This is a part-time position where you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. You will join Allied Universal at a cutting-edge tech location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. In this unarmed, driving post, you will support access awareness, deliver outstanding customer service and communication, and contribute to a caring, agile team that puts people first, acts with integrity, and brings reliable, innovative service each day.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, data center support areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and follow post orders for restricted areas and sensitive operational spaces.
  • Support incident reporting and routine operational checks, helping to maintain awareness of facility conditions, equipment issues, and/or policy violations.
