As a Security Officer Access Checkpoint Driver in Monroe, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer in a utilities location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site personnel. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Monitor and control access to facilities, restricted areas, and/or critical infrastructure by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor records, and directing authorized personnel according to site procedures.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help identify irregular conditions and support security-related operations.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, access concerns, and shift information accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
