About The Position

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Screening in Concord, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access screening protocols.
  • Screen persons, packages, deliveries, and belongings in accordance with established procedures, reporting prohibited items, suspicious activity, and policy concerns to appropriate site contacts.
  • Monitor entry points and visitor flow, verify credentials as assigned, and maintain accurate logs and documentation for screening-related activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and contacting appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
