About The Position

As a Security Officer Visitor Checkpoint in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support access control operations that help to deter security-related incidents. You may conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Possess a state, county, or city issued security license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue visitor access according to post orders, and report unauthorized or unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting security-related concerns and escalating issues as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including gates, access points, and other restricted areas, noting conditions that could impact site operations.
  • Complete logs, incident reports, and access records with attention to detail while helping to deter unauthorized entry and supporting security-related procedures throughout the location.
