About The Position

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Operations in DAKOTA CITY, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service to employees and visitors. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally, and support a secure environment while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access and visitor records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, perimeter locations, and access points, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Follow sanitation, personal protective equipment, and restricted-area requirements applicable to a food production environment while performing assigned duties.
