As a Security Officer Access Associate in Fort Mill, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. In this active role, you will support site operations through strong communication, customer service, and teamwork while reflecting our values of being agile, reliable, innovative, and acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, shipping and receiving areas, parking lots, trailer yards, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and/or delivery drivers, following site-specific access control procedures and reporting issues, discrepancies, and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Support loss prevention and operational continuity efforts by observing dock activity, checking exterior doors and gates, and reporting hazards, unsecured areas, and/or policy violations.
