As a Security Officer Access Control Associate in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will help manage entry points, monitor site activity, and support security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter incidents while contributing to a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Security experience of 6+ months is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at an industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen visitors, and document deliveries, vendor activity, and/or guest access in accordance with post instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe unusual conditions.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of daily activities, access-related events, and incident details, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
