About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Casual Security Monitor in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The role involves escorting and monitoring visitors and operational vendors at the facility, observing and reporting security and emergency situations, and intervening directly only when minimal action is needed to safeguard property or people. Duties require minimal training and physical fitness standards. The position involves working on an active construction site with uneven surfaces, debris, and other trip hazards.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license.
Must be a U.S. or naturalized citizen.
Must have government-issued clearance at the time of application.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to observe and report.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, including standing 8–12 hours per day.
Ability to walk on uneven surfaces and safely navigate an active construction site with debris and trip hazards.
Ability to make logical, mentally competent, and safe decisions while working on a construction site.
Ability to lift 25 pounds (10 kilograms).
Ability to climb five flights of stairs multiple times during an 8–12-hour work shift.

Responsibilities

Observe and report security and emergency situations.
Escort and monitor uncleared personnel and operational vendors while they are on site.
Maintain line of sight with vendors at all times while they are on site.
Escalate equipment issues found by vendors immediately to onsite supervisors.
Maintain visitor access logs consistent with site requirements.
Prevent unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information.
Properly cleanse secured areas before escorting uncleared personnel into the facility.
Follow company security and safety policies.
Intervene directly only when minimal action is required to safeguard property or persons.
