About The Position

The Security Manager will manage the development and implementation of an effective Global Security & Resiliency strategy and program to mitigate risk, safeguard the organization's personnel, intellectual property, integrity, reputation, and physical assets to ensure continuity of operations under leadership and guidance from the Senior Security Manager. This role manages the security program to align with corporate program objectives and address all aspects of security for the organization's global businesses. This includes, but is not limited to, access control, guard service management, site assessments, budgeting, training, investigations, incident and crisis management, and emergency preparedness. At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a fully-onsite work model requiring employees to be in office five (5) days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of security industry experience in a corporate environment
  • Working knowledge and demonstrated expertise in access control systems and video management systems

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree
  • Certification through a recognized security industry accreditation organization such, i.e., PSP, CPP, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of a corporate-wide security plan that assesses current threats and vulnerabilities; identifies protection goals, objectives, and metrics consistent with corporate strategic objectives; and details the efficient and cost-effective utilization of security resources
  • Manage security vendors
  • Develop policies and procedures
  • Participate in training exercises to ensure site readiness
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Real Estate, Facilities, Legal, Human Resources, Finance, and IT
  • Create and maintain professional relationships with local and federal first responders
  • Craft well-written reports and other content that is easily consumed at the Executive level
