Security Guard Part Time Front Desk Reception
About The Position
As a part-time Front Desk Security Professional at a logistics and distribution location in Palmetto, Georgia, you will help create a welcoming, professional environment while supporting site security operations. You will manage visitor access, verify badges and credentials, monitor entry activity, and communicate clearly with employees and guests. The role emphasizes customer service, attention to detail, teamwork, integrity, and following site-specific security procedures. The schedule is Friday and Saturday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, drivers, and vendors at the front desk, following site-specific security procedures and policies.
- Greet visitors, verify identification and credentials, issue visitor badges, and direct guests according to established procedures.
- Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, delivery, and incident logs, and communicate relevant information to appropriate site contacts.
- Monitor front desk communications, including phones, radios, alarms, and camera systems, and report unusual activity or concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow emergency response protocols, and contact appropriate personnel when needed.
