About The Position

The Security Professional Branch Flex Armed Transportation Patrol serves and safeguards clients across industries including healthcare, education, finance, and retail. The role offers experience across varied sites and the opportunity for career growth. The position is based in West Palm Beach, Florida, and pays $20.62 per hour.

The role is scheduled for 30–40 hours per week. Schedules vary week to week, combining manager-assigned shifts with shifts claimed through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly. Irregular shifts may be assigned with little to no advance notice to support client needs.

Requirements

• At least one year of armed security-related experience.
• An armed guard card or license.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience.
• Access control and badge experience.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or the presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
