About The Position

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Lomita, California, you will safeguard the site by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. This is a full-time position paying $18.25 per hour, scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery authorization according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions.
Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications according to company and site requirements.
