About The Position

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in City of Industry, California, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will communicate clearly, respond to routine concerns, and provide customer service while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. This is a part-time role paying $20.80 per hour, with scheduled shifts Monday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking lots, access points, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors, following access-control and visitor-documentation requirements.
Complete accurate reports, logs, and shift communications regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
