About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Access Control in Chicago, Illinois. The position provides consistent assigned-site hours on a designated weekly shift, with a six-month commitment to the fixed schedule. Employees may also claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust their schedule as needed. The pay rate is $23.74 per hour.

The role provides customer service while carrying out site-specific procedures and government facility policies. Duties include unarmed patrols, access monitoring, responding to incidents, and completing required documentation. The position is part-time, with daytime shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while following site-specific procedures and government facility policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeters; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry according to site procedures, and direct visitors to appropriate locations.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as required.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with company and site-specific procedures.
