About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Access Control for an assigned logistics and distribution location in Urbancrest, Ohio. The position provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Hours may vary as additional shifts are picked up, with opportunities to build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

The role provides customer service while carrying out security procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities. Duties include unarmed patrols, access monitoring, responding to incidents, and maintaining accurate reports and logs.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require candidates to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor site access by verifying credentials, directing visitors and drivers, and documenting arrivals, departures, and other required activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow site procedures, and communicate with appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for incidents, patrols, deliveries, and other security-related activities.
