About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Guard to conduct patrols at an upscale supermarket chain in New York, NY. The unarmed patrol officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide customer service and communication. The role helps create a welcoming environment for shoppers and team members and responds professionally to security-related concerns. The posted schedule is Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Pay is $19.48 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require age 21 or older.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, team members, shoppers, and visitors by following site-specific procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual conditions or security concerns.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, follow site procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and policy violations.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activity and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
