About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Guard for a chemical/petrochemical location in Channahon, Illinois. The role supports a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, responding to security concerns, and providing customer service to personnel and visitors. The schedule is overnight shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The pay rate is $18.75 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers while following site-specific access-control procedures and security policies.
Verify identification, credentials, authorizations, and visitor documentation before granting access to restricted areas.
Monitor entry and exit points, control vehicle and pedestrian access, maintain access logs, and report discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in accordance with site emergency procedures, notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and assigned facilities to identify and report security concerns.
