About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Guard to serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting access control, and providing customer service and clear communication. The position pays $17.51 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Loss prevention experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery areas; verify credentials and maintain visitor and contractor records according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of business areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter, and report unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
• Help maintain a professional and welcoming environment, deter unauthorized access, and follow Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.
