About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer serving as a visitor registration and access control officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Augusta, Georgia, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. The role involves providing customer service, communicating clearly, and responding professionally to security-related concerns. The position pays $19.00 per hour. The posted schedule lists Monday 9:30 PM–5:30 AM and Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 5:30 PM–5:30 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Carry out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain access-related logs and records.
Control visitor, contractor, and delivery access according to site requirements, including directing individuals to check-in locations.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating security matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
