About The Position

Belmont Behavioral Health System is a provider of comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder treatment, with specialized programs serving children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. The Security Guard monitors people and vehicles entering and leaving facility property, supports safe facility operations, and interacts professionally with staff and patients. The role is full-time, with a 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. schedule.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of experience in security, corrections, or the military.
• Valid state driver's license.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required; training is available upon hire and offered by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist, direct, and monitor all people entering and leaving facility property.
• Keep accurate log books as required.
• Direct emergency personnel arriving on facility property and maintain traffic flow during emergencies, including fire drills.
• Communicate incoming admissions, visits, and deliveries to appropriate staff.
• Monitor the parking area for loitering or misconduct, monitor the lobby, and conduct frequent sweeps of the facility.
• Interact with staff and patients professionally at all times.
• Report suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor, or a member of leadership.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
