About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Guard to serve and safeguard clients at a technology-focused location in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This is an unarmed mobile patrol driving position. The officer conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents, responds to alarms, and supports a welcoming environment through customer service and communication. The role provides customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors; carries out security-related procedures and site-specific policies; and takes part in emergency response activities when appropriate. The officer responds professionally to incidents, service requests, and critical situations, and documents activities according to site requirements. Duties also include patrolling office areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter; monitoring access points and visitor activity; verifying authorized entry as directed; and reporting security incidents, access issues, unusual conditions, and maintenance concerns. The posted schedule is Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Applicants must meet applicable driver-policy requirements and be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Requirements

Valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Ability to lift items weighing more than 20 pounds.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Prior customer service experience.
Prior access control system and badge management experience.

Responsibilities

Observe and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents.
Maintain a professional presence in a fast-paced corporate environment.
