About The Position

Geisinger Behavioral Health Danville is seeking a dedicated Security Guard to help provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The Security Guard serves as a visible first point of contact for people entering the facility and supports emergency response efforts, facility safety monitoring, and the care team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of experience in security, corrections, or the military.
• Valid state driver's license.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification; training is available upon hire and offered by the facility.

Nice To Haves

• First aid may be required depending on state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist, direct, and monitor people entering and leaving facility property.
• Maintain accurate log books as required.
• Direct emergency personnel arriving on facility property and manage traffic flow during emergencies, including fire drills.
• Communicate incoming admissions, visits, and deliveries to appropriate staff.
• Monitor the parking area for loitering or misconduct, monitor the lobby, and conduct frequent sweeps of the facility.
• Interact professionally with staff and patients at all times.
• Report suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor, or a member of leadership.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
