About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Incident Response for an assigned logistics and distribution site in Elwood, Illinois. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment, and the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Hours may vary according to claimed shifts, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and to scale back when needed. The listed schedule is Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. Pay is $18.50 per hour.

The officer provides customer service while following security procedures and site policies, responds to incidents and access-control concerns, patrols the facility and surrounding areas, and monitors entry points. Employment is subject to background investigation and, where permitted by law, drug screening. Applicable licensing may be required under state or local regulations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require candidates to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if assigned to a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized personnel and visitor entry, and maintain accurate logs and records as required by site policies.
