About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Guard to serve and safeguard clients at a commercial real estate location in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role involves monitoring assigned areas, conducting unarmed patrols, supporting access control, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The Security Guard also provides customer service and clear communication to help create a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. The position pays $19.10 per hour. The listed schedule is 6:00 AM–2:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel by following site procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and document observations and actions according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and access issues.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access as directed, and provide directions or assistance to visitors and contractors.
Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications according to company and site requirements.
