About The Position

As a Security Guard Full Time Visitor Access Desk in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a government location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge procedures, monitor entry activity, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access Control/Badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government location personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, visitor management protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access at the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate entry records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Answer telephone calls, provide directions and general information, and communicate professionally with visitors, staff, and authorized agencies.
• Observe front-desk activity and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
