Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional, welcoming front-desk presence for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
  • Conduct visitor registration, verify identification and appointments, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access and reception logs in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Monitor lobby activity, access points, cameras, alarms, and communications systems, reporting unusual activity or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, customer-focused, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Provide customer service by answering phones, directing guests, coordinating with building contacts, and supporting security-related procedures at the front desk.
