About The Position

As a Security Officer Visitor Access in Augusta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location. You will manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet systems to support daily operations. Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access and visitor records in accordance with site policies.
  • Screen incoming personnel, deliveries, and vehicles as required, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate site contacts and designated areas.
  • Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to identify and report security-related concerns, unauthorized access attempts, and unusual conditions.
