Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and control access to designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Help to deter unauthorized entry and potential loss by observing vehicle, pedestrian, and delivery traffic, reporting unusual activity, and following established escalation procedures.
  • Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, the business, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
