About The Position

As a Security Guard Property Protection Patrol in Piscataway, New Jersey, you will serve and safeguard clients at a retail location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to guests, retail employees, and team members while supporting a welcoming environment. This is a full-time position paying $20.96 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday through Thursday and Sunday, 6:45 AM–3:15 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification.
Customer service experience.
A state-, county-, or city-issued security license.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
Loss prevention experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail employees by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of sales areas, entrances, stock areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Accurately and promptly document observations, incidents, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
