About The Position

The City Forum is seeking a responsible, observant Unarmed Security Guard to help protect our guests, employees, and property. This role maintains a visible security presence, monitors the facility, responds appropriately to concerns, and helps create a safe, welcoming environment for families. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, professional with guests, confident when enforcing rules, and able to recognize and report suspicious behavior.

Requirements

At least 18 years old
High school diploma or equivalent
At least one year of security experience
Valid Tennessee security license or guard card (Required)
Tennessee Dallas’s Law certification (Required)
Valid driver’s license (Required)
First Aid/BLS and self-defense training
Knowledge of applicable security and public-safety guidelines
Strong observation, communication, customer-service, and report-writing skills
Comfortable working with families and guests
Familiarity with surveillance systems and related technology
Able to remain calm, professional, and alert during stressful situations

Responsibilities

Patrol the premises regularly to maintain order and establish a visible presence
Monitor entrances and authorize access by guests, employees, vendors, and vehicles
Monitor surveillance cameras and identify suspicious activity or safety concerns
Respond to alarms and assess situations promptly
Help secure doors, windows, and exits at the end of operations
Address trespassing, disturbances, and other incidents according to company policy, training, and applicable law
Contact management, emergency services, or law enforcement when appropriate
Assist guests and employees who need help
Complete clear, accurate reports on daily activity and significant incidents
Help maintain a safe, professional, and family-friendly environment
