About The Position

The Porter ensures the cleanliness of all areas of carousel Gardens and Storyland, including the grounds, walkways, rides, and facilities such as the bathrooms and offices. This role is responsible for preparing the park for opening each day and restoring it after closing. The position requires providing exceptional guest service, answering guest questions, and assisting park guests as needed.

Requirements

• One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
• Working weekends, some evenings, and holidays is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Cleans all bathroom facilities.
• Constantly walks grounds, picking up trash and cleaning spills.
• Ensures rides and ride areas are free of trash and debris.
• Gets the park ready for opening before each day, recovering it after the park has closed.
• Mops, sweeps, and moves tables and chairs between birthday party areas.
• Wipes down benches, tables, and trash cans as needed.
• Empties trash cans, hauls trash to dumpster facilities, and replaces liners in trash cans.
• Communicates with supervisory staff regarding any potential hazardous safety conditions.
• Provides exceptional guest service, answers any guest questions and assists park guests when needed.
