About The Position

Allegiance is hiring a third-shift Security Guard for an educational facility in Columbia, South Carolina. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM and pays $16.25 per hour. On-the-job training is provided. The guard assists Allegiance management with delegated duties, follows post orders and company directives, monitors security cameras, and interacts tactfully with the public. The position also involves supporting investigations into loss or damage of client property and gathering, documenting, and reporting information professionally.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to work all shifts.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and follow rules, instructions, and lawful orders.
• Ability to cope with stressful work situations.
• Physical stamina and dexterity.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a Guard License.

Responsibilities

• Assist Allegiance management with delegated duties and functions.
• Follow written and verbal directives, post orders, Allegiance policies and procedures, and other directives.
• Stand or walk for extended periods, potentially an entire shift, across various surfaces.
• Monitor security cameras.
• Support public relations and awareness, and deal tactfully with the public.
• Assist with investigations concerning loss or damage of client property.
• Obtain detailed statements, write reports, interview and observe individuals, and document information professionally.
• Detect building safety hazards, communicate them to appropriate staff, and follow mandated safety requirements.
