About The Position

Allegiance is hiring a third-shift Security Guard for an education facility. The position pays $16.25 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. On-the-job training is provided. The role supports Allegiance management and facility security by following directives and post orders, monitoring security cameras, interacting tactfully with the public, and assisting with investigations into loss or damage of client property. The guard also gathers statements, conducts interviews and observations, and documents information and reports professionally. The position requires standing or walking constantly for multiple hours, potentially an entire shift, across surfaces including tile, concrete, carpet, grass, and dirt.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to work all shifts.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and follow rules, instructions, and lawful orders.
• Ability to cope with stressful work situations.
• Physical stamina and dexterity.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Ability to detect building safety hazards, communicate them to appropriate staff, and follow mandated safety requirements.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a Guard License.

Responsibilities

• Assist Allegiance management with delegated duties and functions.
• Follow written and verbal directives, post orders, Allegiance policies and procedures, and other instructions.
• Monitor security cameras.
• Support public relations and awareness, and deal tactfully with the public.
• Assist in investigations concerning loss or damage of client property.
• Obtain detailed statements, write reports, interview and observe individuals, and document information professionally.
• Detect safety hazards in the building, communicate them to appropriate staff, and follow mandated safety requirements.
