About The Position

Allegiance is hiring a third-shift Security Guard for an education facility in Columbia, South Carolina. The position pays $16.25 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. On-the-job training is provided. The role supports Allegiance management and client security operations by following directives and post orders, monitoring cameras, interacting tactfully with the public, and documenting observations and incidents professionally.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to work all shifts.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and follow rules, instructions, and lawful orders.
• Ability to cope with stressful work situations.
• Physical stamina and dexterity.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a Guard License.

Responsibilities

• Assist Allegiance management with delegated duties and functions.
• Follow written and verbal directives, post orders, Allegiance policies and procedures, and other directives.
• Stand or walk constantly for multiple hours, potentially an entire shift, on surfaces including tile, concrete, carpet, grass, and dirt.
• Monitor security cameras.
• Handle public relations and awareness and deal tactfully with the public.
• Assist with investigations concerning loss of or damage to client property.
• Obtain detailed statements, write reports, interview and observe individuals, and document information professionally.
• Detect safety hazards within the building, communicate them to appropriate staff, and follow mandated safety requirements.
